Introduction to 12 Principles: Animating a Bouncing Ball & a Jumping Cube
After being introduced to the 12 baisc principles of animation for my second assignment in the 3D Animation and Gaming (Year 1) course, I’ve been tasked to a simple animation of a bouncing ball and a jumping cube, and implement the appropriate principles of animation, since these princeples remain fundamental to animation storytelling, whether stop motion, 2d pixelation or CGI.
After learning them, I needed to make both objects interact with one given emotion assigned for the ball and cube characters.
As I am not able to animate in 3D for technical reasons, all the work is done in 2D.
To keep this second work project organised, I divided this assignment in 2 parts: one dedicated to the ball and cube, and another for the walk cycle task (Part 2).
